Rescue Australian Terriers

Rehoming Centre

Do you have a Australian Terrier or a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier that you or a loved one can no longer look after? do you have a retired show or breeding dog who is now looking for its forever family?
Please give us an email or a call and we can help you by taking the dog into care for rehoming or by helping you find a suitable home directly from your care to theirs. We take in rescues from all over Australia so distance is not a problem. When a dog is for rehoming we get them vet checked, neutered ( if not already neutered), any other health complications fixed up ( eg tooth removal ) . Once recovered we then get them to complete a few tests so that we can work out what they need from a family. Whether that be other pets, another dog, no cats, retired family, suitability to children ect.
please send us an email if you would like to offer a rehoming dog a home in the near future or if you need help rehoming an Australian Terrier or wheaten.

Recently Rehomed

Beau:
Beau came to us as a senior dog in not too pleasant circumstances, under weight, matted and busied.  After a lot of work and temperament training we were able to find Beau the best single dog home out on a property in Esk.
Paddy:
Despite been backyard bred, Paddy came to us from a loving home who could no longer keep him due to fighting between him and his father. Paddy has since been neutered and had dental work done prior to moving on and is now living out in Roma. With a fabulous retired couple and a fifo cattle dog of their son's that stays for short periods.
Alfie:
Despite being backyard bred at a young age of 7 weeks Alfie* came into care with one of his parents. Underweight, undersize and unequipped to be rehomed. Alfie spent 3 months in rescue learning the ropes. He was lead trained, toilet trained, socialized, vet work was completed and crate training commenced. He found a wonderful home with a family at Anstead. Alfie* is this boy's new name not the name he came into care with.
Zeke:
Bred by a breeder who acknowledged only after the microchip identified them, that they bred the dog but didn't issue papers and sold him into a home with knowledge of her plans to breed. Where he was used at stud and then surrendered with his some of the litter he sired when homes couldn't be sort. He spent 6 weeks in rescue while he was vet checked, temperament tested, groomed and toilet trained until he was placed in a home in the local area of Fernvale. Zekes family provide us with numerous regular updates and he is doing super well in his new home and is quiet the ratter on their small hobby farm.
